This online survey is being conducted by the Southern Gulf Islands Community Resource Centre and is expected to take 7-10 minutes to complete. It is the first step in a multi-stage process that includes quantitative data collection (this survey), outreach to hear comments and opinions not captured by this survey, and future planning and strategy development.
To ensure your privacy, all reporting is anonymous, unless you willingly provide and validate your email address for a short follow-up response at the end of this survey. Please note that all data is stored securely in Canada. As a valued local resident or visitor to our islands, your input will provide essential insights into the conversations we need to have around the effects and opportunities of the visitor economy (tourism).
The results of this survey will contribute to a better understanding of the impacts, opportunities, priorities, and needed strategies to protect the environment, respect the desires of local communities, and manage a sustainable visitor economy. By sharing your experiences and observations, you are playing an active role in preserving these islands for future generations to appreciate and enjoy. We are grateful for your time and effort in contributing to the future of the Southern Gulf Islands. Your voice matters and will make a difference.
Please confirm that you are interested in participating in this visitor experience survey and that you have not already completed this beforehand. Note: As previously mentioned, there is an optional opportunity, on the last question, to add a personal email account for a subsequent follow-up. This is not mandatory, and you will not be added to a marketing list by way of participation in this survey.
